Dorothy White, 83
Dorothy Jean White, 83, of Red Bud, formerly of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at Red Bud Regional Center in Red Bud.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Ted Schelich, chaplain of St. Francis Hospital, officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mrs. White was born in Hillsboro on June 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Lester and Bessie (Seibert) Leetham. She married John Walter White, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1996.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud.
Mrs. White is survived by one son, DuWayne (wife Brenda) White of Red Bud; sisters, Mary (husband Glenn) Smith of Bunker Hill and Kay Gasper of Lake of the Ozarks; sister-in-law, Annabelle Leetham of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Sara Noennig of Perryville, MO, and Matthew and Amy White of Red Bud; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary White on Nov. 10, 2000; brothers, Virgil, Bob and Paul Leetham; sister-in-law, Mildred Leetham; and brother-in-law, Tom White, Jr.
