Merilyn June DeLuka, 76, of Nokomis, died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at her residence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis, with burial at Nokomis Cemetery. Officiants will be Dan Easterday and Jim Barker.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home.
Mrs. DeLuka was born on June 17, 1934, in Nokomis, to the late Willard Dayne and Bertha Louise (Schwartzel) Morgan.
A member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Nokomis, she married her husband Robert Joseph DeLuka at the church on Oct. 27, 1954, and he survives
Mrs. DeLuka worked as a beautician, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with family and playing UNO and Triominos.
She is survived by three daughters, Terry (husband Larry) Brinkman, Dawn (husband Ronald) DeWerff, both of Nokomis, and Dayna (husband Jerry) Neisler of Pawnee.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brandi (husband Jim) Barker, Jadrien (wife Kellie) DeWerff, Cody and Gabe DeWerff, and Jason Brinkman, all of Nokomis, Brittany (husband Wayne) Marshall of Fillmore, and Abby and Noah Neisler of Pawnee; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Joey Barker, Gracie and Maddox DeWerff and Gavin Marshall; one sister, Sharon (husband Orville) Schniepp of Decatur; and two nieces.
