Services for Wildon W. Blackburn, formerly of Hillsboro, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Patton Memorial Home there with the Rev. James Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Cress Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday in the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Mr. Blackburn died Monday, December 13, 1999, in Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, Ridgecrest, Calif. He was 87 years old on September 14. He spent most of his life in the Hillsboro area and moved to Ridgecrest in 1993. He was a farmer, and he owned Blackburn's Gift Gallery in Hillsboro. He was an active member of Montgomery Methodist Church, having served as superintedent and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 455 at Irving for 51 years, 32nd degree member and past master. He was also a member of the Ansar Shrine. He was active in the Rock and Gem Club and at age 65, he took up golf. He was born in Coffeen, a son of Harry and Della May Blackburn. His wife the former Virginia Taulbee, survives. Surviving also are a son, Wildon C. Blackburn and wife Ann of Ridgecrest; daughter, Cheryl E. Jones and husband Howard of Springfield; four grandchildren, Stephen C. Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Pam Sivearingen of Kent, Ohio, Nikki Blackburn of Oakland, Calif., Andrea Capler of Atlanta, Ga.; and two great grandchildren, Marsall and Sierra Sivearingen.
