Curt William Adams, 33, of Hillsboro died at 1:10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Taylor Springs.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the funeral home with the Rev. Myron Kirk, pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore, and Eulogist Jeff "Biff" Benton officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mr. Adams was born in Hillsboro on May 19, 1978, the son of David and Sally (Swain) Adams. He married Jamie Englehart, and they later divorced.
A 1996 Hillsboro High School graduate, he received a BA in aviation management at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Mr. Adams lived in Fillmore and Hillsboro during his lifetime and worked as a correction officer at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro. He had also been a member of a commercial pilot organization and the A.F.S.C.M.E. Local #2856.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Mackenzie Lorene and Alissa Ray Adams of Nokomis; one brother, Craig Adams of Hillsboro; maternal grandparents, Carl and Lila Swain of Hillsboro; nieces, Sarah and Daisy Adams; and a nephew, Josh Adams.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Lorene Adams.
Memorials may be directed to the college fund for his daughters, Mackenzie and Alissa, or the Nokomis Sports Association.
