Biography & Information

John B. Lasko, 77

John B. Lasko, 77, of Litchfield died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Hillsboro.
 
Funeral services for Mr. Lasko are scheduled for Wednesday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. in the Litchfield Family Funeral Service, 700 South State Street, in Litchfield. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield; visitation is Tuesday afternoon, July 17, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
Mr. Lasko was born on Feb. 3, 1935, in Litchfield to Joseph and Eleonora (Linowska) Lasko. After serving in the Army in Germany from 1957 till 1959, he and Donna Brandt were married in Litchfield on Feb. 20, 1960.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lori (husband Terry) Jackson and Amy (husband Travis) Quance, all of Litchfield; one son, Steve Lasko of Litchfield; six grandchildren, Stacey Jackson of Springfield, Katie Jackson of Killeen, TX, and Alexis, Jacob, Lucas, and Michael Quance, all of Litchfield; three sisters, Mary Finch of Gillespie, Helen Maas of Arizona, and Hedrick Quinn of Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joe Lasko; and three sisters, Genevive Simmons, Sophia Komor, and Ann Crites.

Mr. Lasko worked as a roofer for more than 35 years and was a member of Roofers Local #112.

Memorials may be directed to the Lasko family.
