Funeral Rites for Mrs. Fisher Sunday.
Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie B. Fisher, who died last Monday, were conducted Sunday afternoon at Dodds Funeral Chapel with Rev. R. J. Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge.
Burial was made in Elmwood Cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended.
Abby Fisher was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, 608 N. Van Buren Street in Litchfield, Illinois. Phone #217-324-5309 or #217-324-4232.
A post card from "Carol" said that Abby Fisher joined the church in 1922 and
died 15 December 1930.

Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie Fisher, who died Monday afternoon will be held Sunday afternoon at 2"30 o'clock at the Dodds funeral chapel. Reb. R.J. Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will be in chare and burial will be made in the Elmwood cemetery.
Word received this morning from the son, John Fisher, of Spokane stated he would arrive in Litchfield Saturday night. 22 December 1930

Abbie Fisher: Chief's Widow Passes Away
Mrs. Abbie Belle Fisher, 65, a life long resident of Litchfield, died at St. Francis hospital, Monday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock following a short illness. Mrs. Fisher was removed to the hospital Sunday and Monday
morning underwent a surgical operation.
Born in North Litchfield township, the daughter of John Swafford and Susan Chapman Swafford, she spent her entire life in this community. She was united in marriage with Samuel F. Fisher, about 45 years ago, ad
to this union were born three sons, one child, Paul, having died a number of years ago.
Mr. Fisher, who served the city as chief of police a number of years, died three years ago.
Surviving relatives are the two sons, Pearl Fisher of Clinton, and John Fisher of Spokane, Wash.
Mrs. Fisher was an active member of the First Baptist church She also held membership in the Woman's Relief Corps of this city.
The body was removed to the Dodds funeral home to await the funeral arrangements which are incomplete pending word form the son in Spokane.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Abbie Fisher of this city, widow of the late Chief of Police Samuel J. Fisher, were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Dodds funeral home. Rev. R.J. Anderson officiated.
Interment was made in Elmwood Cemetery.
A son, John Fisher of Spokane, Wash., arrived in Litchfield to attend the rites. Another son, Pearl Fisher and family of Clinton, have been here since Mrs. Fisher's death Monday night.
