Montgomery County – Its Early Officers and Citizens

Lydia WOOD married Abram ROBB, and settled where James WILLIAMS now lives four miles east of Donnellson, but soon moved away. They raised four children: William, Pleasant, Melissa and Lucinda. They moved to Menard County in 1850 where Mr. ROBB died some years later. William ROBB married Melissa EARLY; he enlisted in one of the Illinois regiments and died of wounds received in a battle in 1863. Pleasant ROBB married in Menard County and was killed in the Civil War. Both left widows and some young children. Melissa ROBB married Nathan EARLY and moved to Texas and has a large family. Lucinda ROBB married a man names James and lives in New Orleans and has one 12 year-old son.
