Many Attend Clear Springs Reunion

Scores of residents and former residents of the Clear Springs neighborhood, southwest of Hillsboro, attended the annual memorial services and reunion at Clear Springs Baptist church, Sunday afternoon.  The principal speaker of the afternoon was Rev. W. E. Anderson, Baptist minister of Litchfield, whose talk is described as having been excellent and interesting.  A tribute to those Clear Springs neighborhood folks who have passed on and lie in the graveyard adjoining the little church, was a part of his address.  Rev. G. E. ? of Hillsboro Baptist church also made a short talk.  Everyone was very much pleased with the selections sung by the Big Four quartette, whose members are A. N. Roberts, Jack ?, Dr. C. M. Boyd and Otto Canan, all of Hillsboro.

Those who attended enjoyed an hour or so visiting with friends and greeting those who live away from the community, always the most enjoyable feature of such a gathering.  At a brief business session, George S. Moore was re-elected a member of the committee which makes arrangements for the reunion.
