  • Noralee Milkint Alan Suits I'm researching Abigail D Suits who married Walker Adkisson on Nov 6 1849. (Illinois State Archives Marriage Index) She had at least six sons with Walker before dying in childbirth with Henry Newton Adkisson on Jan 22 1861. I don't know who her parents were but will research that when we return to Illinois in the Spring. Hopefully there's a detailed marriage record at the County Seat. Which Suits family members are you researching?

The Forgotten Cemeteries title is in tribute to all the cemetery readings done by Walter Sanders and his high school students in the 1940's. Hopefully we can carry on the tradition and work together to locate and read all the abandoned cemeteries in Montgomery County!
