  • Debbie Small Jeffrey B. Dunn Hello Jeff, Could you double-check an Oak Grove Cemetery gravestone photo/info you've posted, and possibly tell me HOW you came by the information? OURAN DAILY The reason I'm questioning the info is I believe this is DURON Dailey, wife is Rebecca...she shares the gravestone with her info on the side. If this is Duron (and I believe it is), then he was born abt 1838-1839. I haven't been able to find a death certificate for him as yet ... nor have I found a marriage certificate for him and Rebecca ... but I have found them in census records, etc. Thanks, Debbie

    • Jeffrey B. DunnHi Debbie - It should be Duron. I used some of Sanders information for these Daily family listings and he lists this one as Buron who died before he was born - b.2/19/1883 d.1/9/1881. I was able to locate Duron, Rebecca and Dona's names on this headstone. I couldn't locate Leonard B. and Helen C. Next time I go out there I will recheck the date on this one and see if the others can be located.

    • Debbie SmallThanks...and I found Duron & Rebecca Towell/Yowell's Montgomery County marriage record.

    • Jeffrey B. DunnDebbie, I got the whole Daily family updated and I'm pretty sure all the dates are correct now. Since Duron is on the top his date is very worn. It looks like he was born in 1838. Jeff http://history.montgomeryco.com/Def...d__gvfl3=8

  • Brian Pierick Jeffrey B. Dunn Jeff, First of all, I wanted to thank you for posting my Grandmother's headstone picture. Mryle Blades. I've never been to Hillsboro, but will be in Springfield this coming weekend and think I will make a trip down there. I'm hoping you can correct the spelling of her first name in your posting. You have Myrtle Blades and it should be Mryle Blades. Thanks much.

  • Ron Bogart Fillmore Illinois Does anyone know who has the records for Bost Hill Cemetery?
    • Historical SocietyWe should have most of the names online from before 1950. Can you give us a list of names you are looking for?
      8:23 AM August 31
    • Ron BogartThe names are Ezekiel Bogart, died 7 Dec 1874, Levina Bogart, died 20 Nov 1880 (your death records give her first name as Lorina and says that she is buried in Fillmore Cemetery. Is there a cemetery by that name?), Ezekiel Bogart, Jr., died 29 Nov 1906, and Jemima Bogart Cundiff (her husband Squire Cundiff is listed). I was told be Willis Whitlock, a relative who lived near the cemetery, that all of them are buried at Bost Hill.

    • Ron Bogart"be" at the end of the fourth line should be "by." Sometimes I hit the enter key before my mind slips into gear! :-)

    • Historical SocietyThere is a Bost Hill cemetery reading that was done by Walter Sanders in 1947-48. He notes: Joseph Bogart died 11/14/1857 age 21-02-24 | Lovina Bogart died 2/9/1882 age 07-06-07 | Nancy wife of Squire Cundiff died November 1851 age 43-06-. The reading of Bost Hill covered all headstones up to 1900. These 3 are the only ones he lists for the Cundiff / Bogart names. There may be others that were missed during the reading.

    • Ron BogartThank you for this information. What I am trying to discover is who takes care of the cemetery today. I would imagine that the plat map of the lots would show individuals for whom there is no stone. Again, thank you for your added information.
