I'm doing some research on some children who were adopted from the Litchfield Orphanage. I have been told that the orphanage burned down and all records were distroyed, but I was wondering if anyone has any information on the Orphanage. Photos, Info etc. I would appreciate the help.

I would love to get any information you have regarding this orphanage. Was this run by St. Mary's. I have a minor's pension application that lists Richard McElligot as guardian of my great grandfather and two of his brothers. I believe Richard McElligot was very involved in the Catholic church at the time and perhaps the orphanage?
