Rountree, in the Anti-Monopolist , June 06, 1874 John BARRY was born in Barren County, Kentucky in 1806 and in 1828 married Elizabeth ROBINSON, sister of our worthy citizen Henry ROBINSON, and after the birth of their first child, Wilson BARRY, they removed to Illinois in 1830, and bought an improvement from James WILSON, and elder brother of the late Joshua WILSON.

Montgomery County – Its Early Officers and Citizens - May 27, 1874

Rountree, in the Anti-Monopolist , May 27, 1874 Thomas EASLEY was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, Nov. 14th, 1792 and emigrated to Cumberland County, Kentucky where he married Rachel MORRAH, Dec. 12, 1816 and from there moved to Montgomery County, Illinois, in 1829, where he has continued to reside ever since. He settled the place on which he now resides, on the East Fork of Shoal Creek, near the Vandalia Road.
