    • Dave ShortI think you mean Abner Short. Abner Cowan was his son (1854 - 1927). I have also found the burial spot of Abner's mother, Jane Cowan Short (1790-1851). If Abner was you 3x Great Grandfather, then Jane would be your 4x Great Grandmother. She is buried in Fruitland, Mo. Here is a link to a photo of the headstone if ypu would like to see it. You may have to copy and paste it.
