My Family

Frederic Barringer

Jeffery B. Dunn, I have been able to add the information to the Cress Hill site. My questions are: Do you want pictures of Aaron and Margaret (Harkey) Barringer? How do I get them to you? Elsewhere there is a picture of a tomb stone of a Mary C. (Harkey) Mc Murtry. Is it known who her parents are? I have a great deal of information on the Harkey family, but little beyond my GGGrandmother Margret Anna and her siblings. Most all I have follows her dad' family back to a burth date of about 1591 in Sterbfritz, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia. Thanks for you help, Fritzb
Surnames: Barringer - Satterlee - Cundiff - Harkey - Lingofelter

    • Frederic BarringerI will be happy to send an e-mail with the information I have available. However, I am working on getting a few bugs out of the text. A point to share, you mention a Paulina (Phifer) Barringer as the wife of Wilhelm. The problem is that our records show Wilhelm as having had two wives, Anna Borger and Paulina Dekker. We are not sure which is the mother of Paulus. However, Paulus' first child was Christina Barringer who married John Phifer. Therefore we have a double cross using the last names. John Phifer was a signer of the Mechlenburg Declaration of Independence which was dated May 20, 1775. You may look this event up on the internet. A very interesting story. Fred

  • Frederic Barringer County History information.
I tried to send an e-mail to Mr. May as advised by the court house. However, it was returned as undeliverable. May I copy it here and forward it that way to your group?

    Thank you,
    Fred A. Barringer

  • Frederic Barringer I have a great deal of information about the Barringer family including dates that do not appear on your website. Of particular interest is imformation about the Aaron Barringer family and detailis that are not stated on the Cress Hill Cemetery site. I do not know through whom or how to make that information available. I will respond to any inquiry. The information about obout the Barringer family goes back to 1721 up to date for a great deal of that family. I will NOT distribute infromation on any LIVING individual however.
