Holly Hogan
I am searching for any information on Emeline Greer who is on the 1860 Litchfield census with her husband HJ Greer and daughters, Mary and Nancy. That is all I have on Emeline, that is on record. We think she died in 1864, (heresay), Henry remarried in 1865 to Mary Jane Misenheimer. I would be grateful to anyone who could go to the Carnegie library in Litchfield and do some research on Emeline. Thank you.

 Carol HounsellAccording to this site and the IRAD records Henry J. Greer married Ann Eliza Perkins in Montgomery County on Jan 7, 1865. Indiana marriage records indicate that a Henry J. Greer married a Mary J. Weissenheimer in Vanderburgh County, IN June 19, 1893. A Henry Greer appears in a Federal 1880 census in Augusta Kansas (he's also a wagon maker) married to a Mary, aged 34, from Illinois. Since daughter Mary E was born in Kentucky, HJ and Emeline may have been married there. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help
 Holly HoganThank you for your reply, I do have all that information. That marriage to Perkins was a very short one, he went on to marry Misenheimer in 1865. I am wanting to find the maiden name for Emeline but I have been unsuccesful. I have searched online records in Kentucky for a marriage but no luck, without a county to go on makes it even harder. My mom and I have researched for years, hopefully we will be able to visit Litchfield someday. We are in Kansas so who knows when that could happen. Thanks again, Holly
