  • Susan Flannery I just came across your posting of a photo of Mr. Missimore and I'm wondering if it is Charles H. Missimore. It does look like him but I have never seen that photo. He is my great grandfather.

    • Lynn ReenerI'm sorry but I have no information that would help you - no given name was shown. Another Corlew genealogist scanned pictures from William H Corlew's album and sent them to me. I think she borrowed the album from a descendant. William is not my direct line; but, I knew he had descendants in this area and wanted to make the pictures available.

  • Karen Lynch Lynn, I am researching my Corlew family that came to Montgomery cty between 1820-1842. I have traced my roots to Amanda Melvina Corlew married Thomas Boon Grubbs. Reportedly daughter of Ransom Corlew. Do you have any information and/or documentation on this family? Thanks, Karen Lynch

    • Lynn ReenerSince I haven't heard from you, I thought I'd add a little info. I have not done any original research on this family. Per We Were Here, The Corlew Family Genealogy by Wm and Viola Corlew, Amanda Melvina Corlew was the d/o Ransom and Mary Ann Forhand Corlew s/o Philip and Hannah Corlew s/o John Corlew Sr. I've made family group sheets on those who came to Montgomery Co IL because I found the book to be very confusing. I'll be glad to forward what I have if you want to contact me at lynnreener@consolidated.net

  • Cindy Saracco Hi Lynn, I would love it if you could email me a copy of the Elizabeth Jane Corlew and Israel Fogleman picture. My half-sister is a Fogleman and I'm working on our family tree/history. If you are willing to share the photo, my email is esaracco4@yahoo.com. Thanks ever so much. What a great picture!

  • Louise Burton I have been linking my grandfather's (Charles A. Bollman) family on findagrave. I have him linked to his mother, Mary Ellen Hart Bollman Sawyer Brown, buried in Texas and to his father Charles Bollman (1832 - 1875) buried in the Hart Cemetery in Montgomery Co., IL. Some of the information on the Bollmans in the Hart Cemetery on this site doesn't seem right. Chas would not be the son of August (1847-1925) and Vernettie (1853-1923) because they were born after Chas.
