    SPRINGFIELD - Sister M. Sylvester Bedinghaus , OP, 91,of Sacred Heart Convent died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at St. John's Hospital.

    She was born May 27, 1910, in Farmersville, the daughter of Clement and Elizabeth Stork Bedinghaus .

    Sister M. Sylvester Bedinghaus entered the novitiate of the Dominican Sisters in 1929 and pronounced her vows in 1931. She spent 49 years in education as an elementary teacher in Springfield, Aurora, Jerseyville, Carrollton, Morrisonville, Granite City, Newton, Evergreen Park, Chicago and Duluth, Minn. She was a principal and a junior high school teacher in Hardin and at Cathedral School in Springfield. She was the prioress of the Motherhouse from 1977-79.

    Survivors: a sister, Sister Elizabeth Ann, OP; two nieces; and two nephews.

    Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, Sacred Heart Convent. Interment: Calvary Cemetery.

    Sister Ruth marie Bedinghaus, OP, 92, of Sacred Heart Convent, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the Motherhouse.---------------- Sister was born on a farm near Morrisonville, IL, the daughter of Clement and Elizabeth Stork Bedinghaus. She entered the novitiate of the Dominican Sisters in 1934 and pronounced her religious vows in 1936. ------------------- Sister Ruth Marie devoted 13 years to ministering in elementary education in Chicago, Litchfield, and at Cathedral, Little Flower and St. Cabrini's in Springfield. She also served in health care for 37 years in hospitals in Texas and Mississippi, before retiring to the Motherhouse in 1989. --------------- She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. -------------- She is survived by two sisters: Sister M. Sylvester and Sister Elizabeth Ann, both of Sacred Heart Convent; two nieces; two nephews and her Dominican Sisters with who she lived and ministered for 67 years. --------------------- Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Chapel from 3-7:00 p.m. with a wake service beginning at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001. The Burial Service will be at Calvary Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001. The family of Sister Ruth Marie Bedinghaus, OP is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.

    Mary Elizabeth Bedinghaus , 89, of Walnut Ridge Healthcare died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. She was born June 25, 1906, in Montgomery County, the daughter of Clement and Elizabeth Stork Bedinghaus . Miss Bedinghaus , formerly of Ohio, was a Springfield resident for 20 years. She was a self-employed seamstress. She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors: four sisters, Sister Ruth Marie, O.P., Sister Mary Sylvester Bedinghaus , O.P., Sister Elizabeth Ann, O.P., and Clara A. Bedinghaus , all of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: Mass, 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Rev. John Ossola officiating. Burial: St. Martin's Cemetery, Farmersville.     SISTER OF FRANK STORK DIES IN HER SPRINGFIELD HOME
    Mrs. Elizabeth Bedinghaus, 1827 South Renfro street, Springfield, died at 8:45 a. m . Monday May 9, 1938, in St John's Hostipal, aged 66 years.
    Survived by two sons, Bernard, Divernon, and Clement, Springfield; six daughters, Miss Elizabeth Bedinghaus, Springfield; Sister Ruth Marie and Sister Mary Sylvester, Sacred Heart convent, Springfield; Miss Anna and Miss Clara Bedinghaus, Springfield, Mrs Hugh Sale, of Raymond; two brothers, John Stork, Springfield and Frank Stoork, Stonington; three sisters, Mrs Catherine Colbrook, Stonington; Mrs I. T. Bridges, Fithian; and Mrs Thomas J. Wynne, Peoria; and two grandchildren.
    Solemn High mass was held at St. Patrick Schurch, Thursday. Burial in St. Marten's cemetery at Farmersville.

    CLEMENT BEDINGHAUS
    Word was received here Saturday of the death of Clement Bedlnghaus, in a hospital at Litchfield early Saturday morning. Death followed an operation several days ago. The deceased was a farmer who had resided west of Morrisonville for a number of years and who formerly, lived west of Blue Mound and north of Stonington, also near Mt. Auburn.
    Mrs. Bedinghaus was formerly Elizabeth Stork of Stonington.
