Cedar Ridge is a well kept and very visible cemetery that is located right next to the Honey Bend Resort. If you Google map it, you'll see both Cedar Ridge and Roberts-Hart. Roberts-Hart has been let to grow back to prairie deliberately. Take Honey Bend Avenue east to East 5th Road turn right and go a short distance to Cemetery Lane, Turn left and drive straight ahead to where the road curves tot he left. You'll see the broken down sign for Robert-Hart Cemetery. Good luck trying to walk back in among the tall weeds - beware of ticks, snakes, etc. We photo'd everything we could find and left with ticks. Let me know if you need further directions. The cemetery locate feature on this site doesn't always take you to where the cemetery is. Google map it....Carol

  • Michael Winstead Carol, This is Michael Winstead. I have been registering my relationship to family members in the burial index and have found that photographs for Mary L. Niehaus, two different people and burial dates, are needing changed. My grandmother Mary L. Niehaus passed away in 2001. Her information is posted with a Mary L. Niehaus photograph with a death year of 1986. The record ID #'s are 29023 and 29027 in Elm Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. I thank you for your time put into these memorials and transcriptions. Sincerely, Michael Winstead

  • Timothy Williams - Visited the Williams Cemetery today. Whew! 100 degrees with no breeze and it took me 30 minutes of searching in deep grass to locate 2 stones that I had to see for myself (Lucinda and James Williams/Mother and Son). it makes me so sad. - Had no luck locating Roberts Cemetery but re-researched and ready for another attempt tomorrow; also must see Cedar Ridge. (when i use the view cemetery map function for Cedar Ridge Cemetery it shows a map area that I don't think actually depicts an area where the cemetery is located). Could someone check that for me and tell me if I'm losing my mind?

  • Timothy Williams I saw that you'd identified James P Williams (Williams Cemetery) with the middle name of Pleasant. Can I ask the source of that? That's the first time I've heard of an actual middle name associated with him. Interesting. Thanks, Tim

    • Timothy WilliamsSorry... forgot to add that 5 or 6 that are laid to rest at Williams Cemetery are ID'd as veterans in apparent error. Thanks, Tim

    • Carol HounsellI did that research a couple of years ago and don't know now where I got that name - I'll remove it from any records until I can confirm it again. I did correct all the veteran ID's. thanks for your suggestions.....

  • Timothy Williams Carol, was looking at the Williams Cemetery photo of Lucinda WIlliams' headstone. It appears to me the headstone reads died Oct 19 versus Dec 19. My old eyes could be wrong but I wanted to point this out for another look. Thanks.

    • Ann StoddardCorrection made. For such a few documented burials this has been one of the cemeteries we have been contacted about the most. Seems there are lots of descendants from this one early Montgomery Co family. We believe there are more burials at this location. The cemetery is right up against the train tracks and from historical records it looks like there should be more burials than we found. Here are some photos of the cemetery: http://history.montgomeryco.com/gro...params=112
