Biography:
|
I was born in Hillsboro Illinoins in 1934. After graduating from high school, I attended Southern Illinois University i Carbondale and majored in Home Economics. Then I worked for Illinois Exension Service in Shelby and Edwards Counties. In 1956, I lived in Costa Rica as an International Farm Youth Exchange Delegate (IFYE). In 1958, I married James Dominic Lay, an IFYE delegate from Virginia. We have four adult children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. James "Dom" Lay died in 2009. I now reside with my son and his family in Florida. I am a member of the Ware Family Association and the DAR. I am intereted in family history and genealogy.
