I am originally from Granite City, Illinois, after high school I worked at Granite City Steel Co. for a very short time, got laid off, went to Lewis and Clark Community College then on to SIU. Got married, moved to New Baden. Got divorced, moved to Hopkinsville, KY got remarried, moved to Enos, IL, 7 miles to the west of Carlinville. Joined the Army in 1980, went to Ft. Hood, TX. Got divorced.Got out of the Army. Got remarried. Moved to Baumholder, West Germany, had a son. Relocated with spouse to Fort Drum, New York. Went back to Wuerzburg, West Germany. Had a daughter, then another son. Spouse got out of military, moved back to Granite City for a short time. Moved to Edwardsville, Illinois. Husband passed away. Several months later, got remarried. Moved to Bond County, 1 1/2 miles south of Panama in a neighborhood formerly known as Stringtown, now Pan Estates. Have been here 11 years as of Halloween, 1999. Love this area of Illinois. Nothing short of an earthquake could get me to move. My husband and I have been married 14 years, as of November 30, 1996. My oldest son, William, passed away from complications due to muscular dystrophy, my daughter is an instructor at a University in a different state, my oldest son, James, passed away 18 months before his big brother, also complications due to MD as well as down syndrome. I am a member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Panama, IL, also a member of the Bond County Rod and Gub Club. My parents have been residing in Panama, IL for 4 years. They build a new home where the old Catholic church sat before the newer one was built. They are not used to a small village such as Panama, but have been pretty much accepted, as far as out-siders go. I have always said that I was a dis-placed country girl, having been brought up in a city of 40,000. Every chance I get, I get to the country. I like to knit, crochet, am a pretty good decorative painter, like to camp, love animals and I am definitely a home body. Am currently taking computer related classes on online at Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, IL. Graduate with Associates Degree in December, 2011.
