  • Marlene Case The birth index is on the site for births to 1877, so I thought perhaps there was an index for births after that. I am specifically looking for my grandfather, Earl Edwards, born Dec. 18, 1880 in Irving Township. Three of his siblings were in the index to 1877. I just wanted to make sure it was there before I went ahead and ordered a copy. And yes I am in Northern Wisconsin, too far away for a quick trip to Hillsboro. What is your book on the Lipes, Marjorie? Does it have John Godfrey Lipe and his father and grandfather in it? If so, is there anywhere to buy a copy? Thanks to both of you for your replies.

    • Ann StoddardHi Marlene, Yes the birth index only goes to 1877. There were birth records after 1877 in the courthouse vault, but you need to order the record from the courthouse http://history.montgomeryco.com/Res...fault.aspx I hope to one day create an index of births after 1877, but have not done so yet.
