Tammy White

Just looking at all the information. I found another obituary, for Sarah Elizabeth Wright, but some of the information is missing. Anyone know where I can find an obituary for her (she died 12/16/1909)?
Surnames: Nelson, Whitten, Sheehan, Wright, Bost, Casey

  • Donald Cress My great grandmother was Elizabeth Ann Bost (Sanders), whose father was Elza Creel Sanders and whose mother was Ruth Whitten, daughter of Easton Whitten. I've not been able to find out much about this branch of the Whittens. Have you any information regarding these folks? Thanks for your kind assistance. By the way, I have done a lot of work on the Bosts, but I have the same problem lots of other people have with the early Bosts.

    • Tammy WhiteI do not have a Ruth in my tree (possibly because I do not have all the information). Is her father Easton born 1784 and married to Wilmuth Johnson?

    • Donald CressThe Easton Whitten you mention would have been in his late 30s when Ruth Whitten would have been born, which makes him a possibility. I will see what I can find out about this Easton Whitten's offspring.

There is an Easton Whitten Married to a Mary Bost 5 Nov 1841 in Montgomery Co, but this is too late to be the right Whitten.

On the other hand, there is a Ruth Whitten born in 1822 in Warren Co., KY. But her father was Austin Whitten and her mother was Kesiah Casey. This would fit too, except that so many sources say that Ruth Whitten's father was Easton Whitten. So it is still up in the air. Thanks for the lead.
